Kimitech CB 380 MTX
Carbon Fiber Armor Fabrics for FRP Reinforcements
Kimitech CB 380 MTX are balanced quadriaxial carbon fiber fabrics with a weight of 380 g/sqm. They are characterized by high mechanical resistance, reduced thickness and weight, speed and ease of installation, reduced invasiveness and good reversibility, great workability and ductility, excellent resistance to stray currents, solvents, acids, possibility of finishing with skim coats, plasters, paints or fire protections
Applications
Kimitech CB 380 MTX fabrics are used to consolidate structural and non-structural elements in reinforced concrete, wood and masonry. They are particularly suitable for plating inflected elements, shear reinforcement beams and partitions, confining pillars and, in general, encircling buildings.
Certifications
Kimitech CB 380 MTX fabrics are part of the Kimitech CB 380 MTX CMP-system in possession of CVT n° 405
Application
Once the surface subject to the intervention has been prepared, proceed with the application of the Kimicover FIX primer in cases where the substrate is very porous and is not sufficiently consistent and regularization of the substrate (if necessary) with Kimitech EP-TX regularization putty. Apply a layer of Kimitech CMP epoxy resin by brush or roller, directly on the substrate, place the carbon fabric (previously cut to size), still dry, in the direction and position required by the project, directly on the fresh Kimitech CMP. Use the composite roller to crush the fabric into the resin layer and roll until the resin emerges between the fibers. Remove any air bubbles that may become trapped between the fabric and the subfloor by continuing to roll in the direction of the fibers. Apply Kimitech CMP by brush to the fabric in several coats to promote total impregnation of the fabric itself. These operations must be carried out fresh on fresh. Any additional layers of reinforcement should be applied fresh on fresh and immediately impregnated with Kimitech CMP resin.
