Strengthening of masonry columns and panels in bending and shear with FRP

The reinforcement of masonry columns can be achieved by confining them with composite material fabrics arranged in bands perpendicular to the axis of the element, after preparing the support, or by applying longitudinal and transversal bands for the reinforcement of masonry panels. Before applying the bands, the external corners and edges must be rounded with a minimum radius of 20 mm or according to the project requirements.
