Strengthening of wooden elements in bending and shear with FRP
The flexural reinforcement of wooden beams consists of inserting carbon fiber sheets pre-impregnated with epoxy resin into housings made using flex or horizontal cutting tools, after inserting thixotropic epoxy resin into the slot using a manual gun. This solution is ideal when you need to leave the wooden beam exposed. In all other cases, it is possible to apply fabrics or sheets in correspondence with the taut areas of the beam, so as to create both shear and flexural reinforcement of the same.
