Production of plasters and finishing with different grain sizes
Creation of internal and/or external plasters with mortar based on natural hydraulic lime, or by applying a binder mixed with sand, after creating a roughcast layer of about 5 mm thickness. Wait 1-2 days, wet the substrate until saturated and, when the surface is dry, apply the plaster mortar. The subsequent smoothing must be carried out once the plaster has completely cured. This last operation involves applying a spatula finish with lime-based smoothing mortars, laid in two coats and waiting until the previous coat has started to set but is still damp. In the case of large thicknesses and non-homogeneous or weak supports, it is advisable to insert a fibreglass mesh into the finish. Any final painting must be carried out once the surface is completely dry, using vapour-permeable products.
