Mortars and meshes for CRM reinforcement system certified with CVT

Kimitech WALLMESH HR

Preformed A.R. fiberglass mesh with sizing thermosetting

Kimitech WALLMESH HR is a preformed mesh in composite material consisting of A.R. glass fibers, with thermosetting primer, used in combination with mortars from the Basic, Betonfix and Tectoria lines to create reinforcements on masonry and concrete products.

Applications

It is used for the construction of reinforced plaster on masonry structures, the construction of anti-debonding systems of floors, as well as the construction of anti-overturning devices of infills and partitions. It is also used for local repairs, such as seams of lesions.

Certifications

Kimitech WALLMESH HR networks are part of the system Kimitech WALLMESH HR SYSTEM in possession of CVT n° 317.

Application

To ensure the adequate collaboration of the reinforced casting with the Kimitech WALLMESH HR network, ad hoc connection systems must be provided in all interventions. The number and arrangement of the connectors must be evaluated by the designer in relation to the masonry quality of the element to be consolidated, the type of intervention envisaged and the design stresses to which the structure is subjected. We recommend the use of preformed "L" connectors made of fiberglass and Kimitech PLUG VR thermosetting resin. In order to prevent the mesh from being pushed into direct contact with the substrate during application, as it is not incorporated into the casting and cannot adequately counteract movements and shrinkage in the short and long term, it is essential to proceed as follows: • Demolition of the existing plaster and the decoesed parts and scarification of the bedding joints. • Washing and wetting of the surface at saturation. • Possible reconstruction of missing or particularly damaged parts of masonry. • Application of a first layer of scratch coat to the wall face with a thickness of about 1.5 - 2 cm. • Installation of the mesh, partially incorporating it into the fresh mortar of the scratch coat, overlapping the mesh bands for about 15 - 20 cm in order to ensure mechanical continuity. • Installation of the corner elements • Execution of the pre-holes and insertion of the connectors; • Application of plaster with design characteristics for a thickness of about 1.5 - 2 cm. The subsequent skimming with Limepor EDO must be carried out to complete the curing of the plaster, so as to seal any shrinkage lesions that may be generated, especially in the case of thick plasters. After drilling the holes and inserting the connectors, it is possible to apply, where required, distribution gussets obtained by cutting the Kimitech WALLMESH RP tape which is supplied in rolls of about 16 cm height. The ribbon will then be cut to obtain 16 cm x 16 cm squares from it.
