Enclosure of the masonry box with FRP
The overturning mechanism of a masonry wall is very frequent in masonry buildings. In fact, following an imperfect anchoring with the other two perimeter walls, in case of stress it can happen that hinges are formed near the horizontal base axis. In this case the masonry panel will rotate rigidly around the same axis generating the lesion. The intervention involves the use of carbon FRP transverse bands, to connect the masonry panel with the other perimeter walls equipped with fixing at the end to prevent delamination phenomena.
