Description

Ethafoam is a polyethylene plastic-cord to pre-filled joints or cracks subject to subsequent sealing with elastomeric products.

Use cases

Ethafoam is used as pre-filling expansion joints, construction joints, static joints, or for any other crack or crevice to be subsequently filled with Kimia sealants.
It can be cut with scissors or common cutting tools and faithfully reproduces the course and the sinuosity of the joints, even with sharp edges and angles.
It hinders the adhesion of the sealant on the bottom of the joint (allowing thus an excellent elastic behaviour) It helps to a longer duration in site of the sealing, due to its resistance (at room temperature, +5°C ~ +25°C) to the majority of the solvents and of the chemical agents.
