Tecnoseal 130

Paintable single-component polyurethane sealant for expansion joints and sealing on metal laminates

Tecnoseal 130 is a single component, ready to use, polyurethane sealant. It has excellent resistance to atmospheric agents, chemical substances (oils, grease, acids and dilute alkalis) and it is suitable for permanent contact with water. Tecnoseal 130 can be painted and provides a permanent elasticity capable of absorbing continual structural movements (work movement 25%).

Applications

Elastic and waterproof sealing of both horizontal and vertical expansion joints in traditional and prefabricated buildings. It is ideal in tinsmithry works

Certifications

Tecnoseal 130 è marcato CE come sigillante per giunti per impiego non strutturale negli edifici e piani di camminamento pedonali secondo la EN 15651-1 (Tipo F EXT-INT) e EN 15651-4 (Tipo PW INT-EXT).

Application

The surfaces must be perfectly dry, clean, free of powder, grease, uneven parts and any material which could hinder a good anchoring of the sealant. There is no need to use an anchoring primer. The width of the joint must be such as to exert a working movement of not more than 25% in the sealant In case of screed the thickness must not be less than 10 mm and, for joints with a width greater than 2 cm, it must have a width/ thickness ratio of 2-1; to get the correct thickness of the sealant, use the appropriate circular support with closed cells Ethafoam of a suitable section. For different kind of application, please contact our Technical Departement. The smoothing off of the sealant must be carried out immediately after the application; to obtain a precise sealing, cover the edges of the joint with masking tape and remove the tape immediately after smoothing off the sealant without waiting for the sealant to set. Tecnoseal 130 is rain resistant after only 2-3 hours from the application; however do not apply it to wet surfaces.
