Betonfix TERMORASA

It is CE marked according to the EN 998-1 and it is compliant and certified according to the requirements of ETAG004 for smoothing and adhesives for external insulation systems.

Betonfix TERMORASA must be applied on clean, consistent surfaces, free of grease and any other substance that may affect adhesion to the substrate. Add the quantity of water indicated in the table above and mix thoroughly with a low-speed stirrer (200-300 rpm) until you get a smooth, lump-free mixture. In case of use on porous subastrates (concrete, plasters, etc.), prepare the support wetting it until SSD conditions avoiding water stagnation: this should be eventually removed with compressed air or with a hoover specific for liquids. Particular attention must be paid, in case of works on concrete support, to the possible traces of form-release agent that must be completely removed before the application of Betonfix TERMORASA (hydro-sandblasting susggested). Betonfix TERMORASA must be applied with a trowel in a maximum thickness of 2 mm per coat, taking care to leave the surface the necessary roughness if a further coat of Betonfix TERMORASA is required; the final coat can be smoothed with a sponge float or a metal spatula for a very smooth finish. For the bonding of insulation panels in external insulation systems, apply the product on the insulating panel, creating perimeter strips and anchoring points in the central areas of the panel at a ratio of 3.5-4.5 Kg/m² depending on the flatness of the substrate, taking care not to let the product flow back from the joints between the insulation sheets when laying. In case of use for the smoothing of insulation panels for external insulation systems, apply the product on the insulating plate in a uniform way to create a first layer of thickness of about 1-2 mm with a consumption of 2-2.5 kg. After laying and before curing, lay Kimitech 350 reinforcement mesh with a weight of 160 g/m² taking care to completely drown it in the base layer, laying a further coat with an American trowel. Kimitech 550+ mesh can be used to reinforce areas that are more easily subject to stress (wainscot). After the application of the first layer, apply a second layer of Betonfix TERMORASA to achieve a thickness of about 1-1.5 mm. The quantity of product used for the second coat must therefore be at least 1.5–2 kg / m². Do not apply the product with imminent rain forecast, on sunny surfaces or with strong wind.
