Anti-rollover protection of the tampon walls

Due to the lack of appropriate connections with the frame, as a consequence of seismic stresses or other horizontal actions, the infill panels can overturn. It is therefore possible to intervene by applying a two-component cementitious skim coat reinforced with a light fiberglass mesh, appropriately connected to the structural elements by fiberglass flakes or galvanized steel strands or even stainless steel helical bars. The mesh can be positioned at the interface between the infill and the reinforced concrete frame, creating a connecting strip or in a widespread manner over the entire surface of the infill.
