Post-earthquake reconstruction of the Basilica and Sacred Convent of St. Francis of Assisi in 1997.

The Sacred Convent and the complex of the Basilica of San Francesco d’Assisi have been the subject of countless restoration and structural consolidation interventions carried out with Kimia products over time. We have taken care of the work since the reconstruction after the Umbria-Marche earthquake in 1997, contributing to the repair of the very serious structural and non-structural damage reported by both the Lower and Upper Basilica. Even today, with our lime-based mortars, we have contributed to various restoration interventions of the walls. Some of the products reported in the list of solutions used in 1997 are the current evolution of those used at the time.
