Kimitech CORNER CRM 33x33, 66x66, 99x99
Preformed fiberglass corner
Kimitech CORNER CRM 33x33, 66x66, 99x99 is a family of corner elements in impregnated fiberglass for the structural reinforcement of existing masonry with the reinforced plaster (CRM) technique.
Applications
Kimitech CORNER CRM 33x33, 66x66, 99x99 is used as a corner element for the repair and reinforcement of masonry elements with the CRM reinforced plaster technique, in combination with Kimitech WALLMESH CRM meshes.
Certifications
Kimitech CORNER CRM is CE marked in accordance with the provisions of EAD 340392-00-0104: "CRM (Composite Reinforced Mortar) Systems for strengthening concrete and masonry structures", with ETA 24/0114 certificate.
Application
At the edges, it is necessary to use Kimitech WALLMESH CORNER CRM 33X33, 66X66, 99X99 corner elements that are part of the CRM package in possession of ETA certification, after positioning the Kimitech WALLMESH CRM network, providing for the correct overlap between the mesh and the corner element. We recommend the use of preformed "L" connectors made of fiberglass and Kimitech PLUG CRM thermosetting resin. In order to prevent the mesh from being pushed into direct contact with the substrate during application, as it is not incorporated into the casting and cannot adequately counteract movements and shrinkage in the short and long term, it is essential to proceed as follows: • Demolition of the existing plaster and the decoesed parts and scarification of the bedding joints • Washing and wetting of the surface at saturation • Possible reconstruction of missing or particularly damaged parts of masonry • Application of a first layer of scratch coat to the wall face with a thickness of about 1.5 - 2 cm • Installation of the mesh, partially incorporating it into the fresh mortar of the scratch coat, overlapping the mesh bands for about 15 - 20 cm in order to ensure mechanical continuity. • Installation of the corner elements • Drilling holes (diameter 20 mm, of the required depth or through holes), cleaning, insertion of connectors and injection of chemical anchor. • Application of plaster with design characteristics for a thickness of about 1.5 - 2 cm.
