Cleaning of stone materials
The cleaning of stone materials from smog, black crusts, guano, streaks of hard water and atmospheric deposits can be done with an ammonium carbonate-based cleaner for very delicate stone materials, of the carbonate or silicate type, or with a strong alkaline cleaner for compact carbonate stones, such as travertine. In the case of interventions aimed at eliminating the autotrophic and heterotrophic microflora present on stone surfaces, the use of a broad-spectrum biocide is recommended: the product is suitable for eliminating algae, lichens, mold, fungi and bacteria and should be applied to dry surfaces with a low-pressure spray procedure, or with a brush or roller, taking care to wet the affected surface well and without creating stagnation or dripping. The cleaning of stone materials from stains caused by paints is carried out using a product capable of solubilizing the stains present without altering the surface.
