Tectoria DEUMIDIFICA
Pure natural hydraulic lime mortar for macroporous dehumidifying plasters
Tectoria DEUMIDIFICA is a ready-to-use mortar of natural hydraulic lime NHL 3.5, certified according to UNI EN 459, and aggregates that give the product its porous structure. It is totally cement-free, uses entirely recyclable natural materials, with a low content of soluble salts. In contact with water, it forms very insoluble and very stable hydrate products of a basic nature.
Applications
Tectoria DEUMIDIFICA is used, also in combination with Limepor RZ, to restore masonry subject to capillary rising damp.

Tectoria DEUMIDIFICA is in possession of the CE marking as a type R renovation mortar pursuant to UNI EN 998-1.
Application
Remove the plaster to a height equal to the maximum point where moisture is noticeable, increased by twice the thickness of the wall. Clean the surface perfectly by eliminating inconsistent parts (such as, for example, bedding mortar between wall ashlars), grease, old paints and any other material that may affect the good anchoring of subsequent processes. Brush and water wash the masonry to saturation. Knead Tectoria DEUMIDIFICA with drinking water, mix thoroughly in a concrete mixer until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Apply the mixture with a trowel or spray, taking care to distribute it evenly to cover the entire surface, creating a first layer of scratch coat with a thickness of at least 5 mm. Wait 24 hours before proceeding with the application of the next layer, after moistening the surface of the previously made scratch coat. For use with mechanical plastering machine, knead in the machine as a common premix. For manual trowel application, mix in concrete mixer for no more than 3-4 minutes. It is advisable to introduce 3/4 of the necessary water into the mixer, adding the product and the remaining water continuously until the desired consistency is obtained. The subsequent skimming must be carried out at the end of the curing of the plaster (minimum 3 weeks), so as to seal any shrinkage lesions that may be generated, especially in the case of the construction of plasters in large thicknesses. In the case of heavy thicknesses and uneven or weak substrates, it is advisable to insert Kimitech 350 mesh in the chosen finish. Any final painting must be carried out when the surface has completely dried and using vapour-permeable products.
