Reinforced repointing of mortar joints
The intervention involves the pointing of the exposed facades by applying a product based on natural hydraulic lime mixed with washed sand and water, or a ready-to-use mortar based on natural hydraulic lime, applying light pressure to facilitate its adhesion to the support, taking care not to dirty the stones. The reinforced pointing of the joints by inserting stainless steel helical bars is performed by creating the bedding of the mortar joint in which the metal element is housed, which gives resistance and rigidity to the repaired masonry.
Features
- Maintaining the exposed face of the masonry
- Increased resistance of the masonry
- Excellent chromatic effect
Operational Phases
- Preparation of the substrate! Insertion of the bars
- Application of the mortar for filling the joint
