Repair of lesions with composite systems
The repair of lesions is an intervention that involves the restoration of the superficial wall continuity by applying reinforcement materials. The stitching of lesions in stone, brick, raw earth and tuff masonry structures, applying fibreglass nets, for example, is achieved by applying a first layer of mortar, on which the reinforcement net is positioned across the lesion ensuring an overlap between consecutive portions of approximately 15-20 cm. A second layer of mortar is then applied.
