Intradosal or extradosal reinforcement of vaults and domes with FRCM bands
The intervention consists in the application, to the intrados or extrados of vaults, of fabrics composed of stainless steel or galvanized steel strands immersed in an inorganic matrix. On a primed support, a first layer of mortar is applied followed by the fabric, which must be completely embedded inside the matrix. Finally, a further coat of mortar is applied while still fresh, making sure that the fabric is never exposed. The steel strip can also be reduced to a strand in order to be inserted into the masonry and anchored.
