Strengthening of masonry columns and panels in bending and shear with FRCM strips
The intervention consists in the application of fabrics composed of stainless steel or galvanized steel strands immersed in an inorganic matrix. On a primed support, a first layer of mortar is applied followed by the fabric, which must be completely embedded inside the matrix. Finally, a further coat of mortar is applied while still fresh, making sure that the fabric is never left uncovered.
