Kimitech WALLMESH MR-HD

The product is CE marked in accordance with EAD 340392-00-0104: 'CRM (Composite Reinforced Mortar) Systems for strengthening concrete and masonry structures'.

In order to ensure a proper cooperation of the reinforced casting with Kimitech WALLMESH MR-HD mesh, ad hoc connection systems must be provided in all interventions. The number and arrangement of the connectors must be evaluated by the designer in relation to the masonry quality of the element to be consolidated, the kind of intervention and the stresses to which the structure is subjected. We recommend the use of Kimisteel INOX X-BAR stainless steel helical bars, CE marked, as a connection system, use at least 4 connectors per m2. In order to prevent the mesh being pushed into direct contact with the substrate during application, as it is not incorporated in the casting and cannot counteract its movement and shrinkage in the short and long term, please follow this procedure: - Demolition of the existing plaster, decohesive parts and scarification of the joints. - Washand wet the surface to saturation. - Reconstruction of missing or particularly damaged ones. - Application of a first layer of plaster to the wall approximately 1.5 - 2 cm thick. - Laying of the mesh, partially incorporating it into the fresh mortar of the plaster, overlapping the bands of mesh by approximately 15 - 20 cm in order to guarantee mechanical continuity. - Laying the corner elements - Execution of the pre-holes and insertion of the connectors; - Application of plaster with design characteristics for a thickness of approx. 1.5 - 2 cm. In case of plasters reinforced with Kimitech WALLMESH MR-HD mesh, the skimming with Limepor EDO should be carried out after the plaster has been fully cured (wait at least 1 week for each centimetre of thickness, and at least 3 weeks), so as to seal any shrinkage cracks that may occur, especially in case of thick plasters (in these cases, it is always advisable to reinforce the pre-painting levelling with Kimitech 350 mesh). At corners, Kimitech WALLMESH CORNER-HD should be used as part of the ETA-certified CRM package.
