Betonfix HCR, the ultra high performance concrete castings

Kimia developed a new high-performance system for the restoration and strengthening of horizontal and vertical concrete structures. Betonfix HCR, the innovative "UHPCC" in pourable consistency, with corrosion inhibitors and metal fibers, born to create cementitious non-shrink grouts.

Technical properties

The specific features of Betonfix HCR make it more effective than regular cement mortars. High mechanical strength for both short and long curing and high resistance to sulphates.
Here are the details of its quality:

• High compressive and flexural strength. You can cast it in lower thicknesses than traditional solutions
• Excellent adhesion to the existing substrate
• Tensile stregth thanks to metal fibers
• High resistance to recurrent loads
• High ductility

FIelds of application

Betonfix HCR system can be used in concrete restoration works and structural consolidation of any type of slab, reinforcement works, beams and pillars.

As shown in the picture above, for the structural consolidation of slabs a collaborative casting of 3-5 cm thickness at the extrados is necessary, no welded mesh needed. It is therefore a very light and thin reinforcement. We recommend the insertion of metal connectors to secure the collaborative behaviour of the new casting.

Beams and pillars need a casting in the formwork with connection elements, even without additional reinforcement. The connectors are applied at staggered heights on the various faces of the element to be reinforced, to ensure a greater homogeneity to the connections.

Components

Betonfix HCR is a three-component system, made of:

• the cementitious grout Betonfix CR, a cementitious grout for collaborative castings, rigid filling of joints, restoration of degraded reinforced concrete, concrete floors, slabs, road and rail bridge decks;
• the latex additive Kimitech HC for mixing;
• metal fibers Kimitech FMR.
