Encapsulation of “type C” asbestos cement, for confinement interventions
Type C asbestos cement encapsulation is applied to support confinement interventions, before creating false ceilings, over-roofing with coupled panels and structures that, in general, confine the asbestos cement inside them. The intervention consists of the spraying of two-component consolidating resin and the subsequent application of two-component elastomeric resin by spraying, in a single coat. The average thickness of the dry encapsulating coating must never be less than 200 microns at any point.
