Stitching of lesions with stainless steel and pultruded rods
Stitching of lesions can be done using dry-inserted stainless steel helical bars, or pultruded carbon or glass fibre bars to be embedded with an appropriate resin. In both cases, holes must be made across the lesion, with an adequate inclination with respect to its direction, to be made in compact areas of the masonry for a depth equal to or greater than the length of the bar. For helical bars, the holes must be made with a smaller diameter than that of the bar.
